I'm sure you've seen the stories on forums and websites, Can Getting to Many Links at Once to your Website Hurt Your Page Ranking? Some people claim it's true, some say it's "just a myth". But is that really the case? Google is very sensitive when it comes to SEO (Search Engine Optimization), and if you raise any "Red Flags" to quick, it will have a negative effect on your site's page ranking. But what exactly raises a red flag?

We can all agree that backlinks are vital to your websites rank in Google. If you want to have a fighting chance you're going to need lots of them. You're going to want to get them as quickly as possible too. But from what everyone is saying, won't that just hurt your position for your keyword? The reality behind this is that it will, but we have to have limit. If you have some sort of automation software that creates hundreds of blogs all with you website link in one day, that will probably raise a VERY big red flag with Google and other search engines. Same thing goes for those "comment automators", that just spam comments on relevant blogs. Even if you have one article and submit it to one of those article submitters, that sends it to thousands of directories, it will still raise a red flag. Google will find anything along these lines suspicious, and I'd stay away from any type of automator software.

This leaves you to do everything "by hand". It may be much more of a hassle, but Google loves sites with your link that are "unique" and seem to be made from a real person. If you don't want to raise a red flag for Google, don't create more then 50 backlinks to your site a day. I've found that number to be the "cutoff", anything above that Google will usually find suspicious. Also, I'd like to stress that you should only have one link coming from a website. Example: Don't create 20 blogger blogs all with your link in them, just create one really good, relevant blog with your link on it - Google will find this link more "reputable", and will count it as more "points" towards your site.

These are great tips, but if you want to get on the first page for your keyword(s), on Google, Yahoo, and MSN, in less then 30 days, then I suggest you check out: http://www.topoftheresults.com now! I've yet to see anything like it, it's the mother of all SEO tactics!
